DJI Inspire 1
Hovering time is 18 to 22 minutes, depending on the battery chosen. Extra batteries are optional. An available battery extender allows handheld camera use with an Osmo system.
The Inspire 1 X3 camera shoots 4K video — better than 1080p — and sharp 12MP stills from a standard 3-axis gimbal. Upgrade to Zenmuse gimbals with the Z3 camera, with 2x digital and 3.5x optical zoom; X5 Pro, with 2x digital and 5x optical zoom, stunning 18MP stills and interchangeable lens mount; or Zenmuse XT, a thermal-imaging 2x, 4x or 8x zoom camera with interchangeable lens mount. GPS Drone Maintains Position & Returns Home
The Inspire 1 has a UAV GPS system to maintain position; filters out pilot error; uses a flight recorder to return to any exact spot; and returns home in the event of signal failure. Optical flow technology allows safe indoor flight.
Inspire 1 Controllers
Radio control reaches 3.1 miles; an antenna upgrade triples that. Professional installation of the antenna booster is available. Two controllers — one for the pilot, one for the photographer — boost precision.
DJI Software Makes Flying and Editing a Snap
DJI Go software helps not only with flying, but also with capturing, transferring and editing video and still images. With LightBridge, the camera view appears in real time on a smartphone or tablet in 720p. Obstacle avoidance is built in, as is home safe. Firmware and software upgrades are downloadable online.
